Safety Standard for Lithium-Ion Batteries Used in Micromobility Products and Electrical Systems of Micromobility Products Containing Such Batteries

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (Commission or CPSC) is providing an opportunity for interested parties to present oral comments on the notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) the Commission issued for a safety standard for lithium-ion batteries. Oral presentations must be limited to matters within the scope of the NPRM. Any oral comments will become part of the rulemaking record.

The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2025-13-08, which applies to all DG Aviation GmbH Model DG-1000T gliders. AD 2025-13-08 requires revising the glider flight manual and installing "Motor INOP" placards to prohibit operation with the powerplant. Since issuance of AD 2025-13-08, a design improvement to the propeller adapter ring has been developed that is considered terminating action for the operational prohibition of AD 2025-13-08. Clarification to the Applicability of Emergency Exemptions; Response to Petitions for Reconsideration

FMCSA amends its emergency declaration regulations to revise from 14 days to 30 days the length of the relief automatically triggered subsequent to a regional declaration of emergency by a Governor of a State, the Governor's authorized representative, or FMCSA. This action is in response to several petitions for reconsideration received after publication of a final rule in October 2023.
